On April 9–10, 2026, the Poland–Kazakhstan Business Forum took place in Astana, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). RAFAMET, together with the Industrial Development Agency (Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A.) and companies from the ARP Capital Group (ŚGP INDUSTRIA S.A., Polski Tabor Szynowy WAGON), was part of the Polish delegation participating in the forum.

The event brought together representatives of numerous companies interested in the development of economic cooperation between the two countries. RAFAMET representatives (Rafał Rychter – President & CEO, Łukasz Huk – Sales Director, Siergiej Kobierski – Sales Manager) held a series of meetings with both existing and potential partners from the railway and industrial sectors. These meetings allowed for the identification of specific areas of cooperation and confirmed the great potential for developing business relations on the Kazakh market.

Participation in the forum was not only about presence, but also a clear confirmation of RAFAMET’s strategic commitment to expanding its export activities and building long-term partnerships in Kazakhstan and the wider region.

On 24 November 2025, Rafamet signed a contract with Siemens Mobility for the delivery and installation of a UGE underfloor wheel lathe. This is the first machine for this customer on the domestic (Polish) market – previously we had cooperated on foreign projects. Our machine is to be installed in the planned maintenance and repair hall near Poznań at the end of the first quarter of 2027. We thank Siemens Mobility for once again placing trust in our technological solutions.

On March 17, 2026, RAFAMET signed a contract with Novatech Srl. for the delivery of a UGE-type underfloor wheel lathe, which will be installed at the Dacia Depot tram facility in Iași.

Dacia Depot is one of the most advanced public transport infrastructure projects in Eastern Europe. The investment includes the construction of a modern depot for trams, electric buses, and trolleybuses, along with the development of supporting infrastructure. 

As part of the project, RAFAMET, in cooperation with Novatech Srl., will supply a specialized UGE-type underfloor wheel lathe designed for servicing and maintaining tram wheelsets. By implementing advanced maintenance technologies, Dacia Depot will become a key component of Iași’s sustainable transport system—supporting emission reduction while enhancing the quality of public services. This marks another step for RAFAMET in delivering projects that support the development of modern and environmentally friendly urban transport across Europe.

We are pleased to announce that on 20 November 2025, Rafamet signed a contract with Baikonur Stroy Snab LLC (Astana) for the supply and installation of a UGE 180 N underfloor wheel lathe. The machine will be installed in a new railway rolling stock maintenance hall in Almaty. The contract covers the delivery, installation and commissioning of the lathe at the customer’s site and is scheduled for completion by the end of Q2 2026.

We are delighted that our solutions will support Kazakhstan Railways. This contract is not only another successful project in our portfolio, but also further evidence of the growing trust that customers worldwide place in Rafamet and its technology.

We are proud to announce that RAFAMET S.A. has signed a contract with Masovian Railways (Koleje Mazowieckie - KM Sp. z o.o.) for the delivery of two CNC underfloor wheel lathes for machining wheelsets. The scope of cooperation includes the comprehensive implementation of the project - from the delivery of machines along with equipment and documentation, to demolition works, foundation reconstruction, and installation of devices in the Warszawa Grochów and Sochaczew Sections.

This is another very important step on the path of the ongoing restructuring of our company.  We are pleased with the trust that Masovian Railways has placed in us, and with the prospect of long-term and fruitful cooperation.

Last week, we announced the signing of a contract for the delivery of a UGE underfloor wheel lathe to the Romanian carrier CFR Călători. Today, we are delighted to announce that we have concluded another separate agreement with the same client - this time for the delivery of a machine to the maintenance facility in Baia Mare.

We are pleased to announce that on 25 November 2025 RAFAMET signed a second, independent contract with Baikonur Stroy Snab LLC for the supply and installation of a UGE underfloor wheel lathe. This time, the machine will be installed in a facility in the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana – where it will be used for precision machining of wheelsets and to support the maintenance of local railway rolling stock.This is already the second contract with the same client within just a few days – we recently reported on the delivery of a UGE 180 N machine to Almaty.
